May 2010 Archives

Believe your eyes.  You read it right.  The Candy Snatchers will be performing with a slew of killer bands on June 5th in Norfolk, VA, at 37th and Zen.
Yes, we are all well aware that guitarist/co-founder Matthew Odietus is no longer with us.  We all miss him greatly.  But we do know that he would abso-fucking-lutely want us all to party hard in his honor.  And considering that the new Candy Snatchers' CD and limited edition picture disc LP will be released the first week of June, we decided to do just that.
Playing guitar with The Candy Snatchers will be Suke from Born Loose.  Not only is Suke a fantastic guitar player, he was also in The Candy Snatchers as a bassist for a couple of years.  Also playing is Born Loose (with Larry May of The Candy Snatchers), The Naked Heroes, Big Bobby and the Nightcaps, The Bamboo Kids, Black Jesus and The Mess Around.  It's a veritable plethora of insane and REAL rock and roll!!!  And anyone who has been to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area for a rock show knows the debauchery that ensues every night in those little beach towns.  Norfolk is only a 7 hour drive from NYC.  Come on down and rock the fuck out!
Here's the awesome flyer designed by Naked Heroes' guitarist/vocalist, George Michael Jackson:

The Walk Ons' smash hit, "Forget You", from their critically acclaimed EP "We Did This On
Purpose", is featured as MP3 Of The Day on AOL's Spinner website. We want to not only congratulate the handsome boys in The Walk Ons, but also to AOL for continuing to exist.
You can purchase the CDEP and/or digital download of "We Did This On Purpose" by clicking here. This is just the beginning for The Walk Ons. Look out for a second EP from these ruggedly good-looking rockers later this year.
